Can i use barclaycard balance transfer to clear halifax overdraft?

Hi,

I’m now have an overdraft with Halifax – so am profitable £1 per day! we would perfectly similar to to finish this so was wondering if i could send the volume to my barclaycard as they have been carrying the 0% seductiveness giveaway change send offer. Is this possible? If not, is there the approach around it?

Suggestions:


1. Balance transfer only applies to credit or store cards.

   Can’t you just arrange a loan with Halifax to pay off your overdraft?

2. Yes you can. Set it up as a bill payment to yourself with your Barclaycard.

3. Tom,

   If you have balance transfer cheques you would be able to do a balance transfer for the amount. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to do a traditional balance transfer, as they are specifically designed for credit card or loan to credit card transfers.
